Getting Started with Ticket to Work
Ticket to Work (TTW) is designed to help people explore or try returning to work without fear of losing their benefits or Medicare for an extended period of time. TTW is a free benefit of the SSDI program but can be challenging to get started. Able Ready EN can help at no cost to you.
What is Ticket to Work?
Ticket to Work is a program offered through the Social Security Administration (SSA) that provides you with many advantages when you go back to work, including continuing to receive SSDI income and Medicare coverage while working.
Able Ready is a nationwide Employment Network authorized by the SSA to assist you with the TTW program. We offer expert guidance designed to help you gain more from SSDI and from life.
What is an Employment Network?
An Employment Network (EN) is a public or private organization that contracts with Social Security to provide free employment support services to Social Security disability beneficiaries ages 18 through 64. Services can include:
- Career Planning
- Job Leads and Job Placement
- Ongoing Employment Support
- Benefits Counseling
How can you protect your SSDI Benefits?
The Ticket to Work (TTW) program helps protect your Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits as you transition back into work. It offers a Trial Work Period (TWP) during which you can earn a certain amount of income and still receive your full SSDI payment, according to the Social Security Administration. Additionally, TTW provides access to services and supports to help you succeed in the workplace, and it allows you to potentially regain benefits if you’re unable to continue working due to your disability.
Who is Eligible for the Ticket to Work Program?
